- The one and only
- Taking off
- The sky's the limit
So by looking at her book titles it seems like she's into planes? Or something that goes up into the air. If she is, I think she's going to be a great new BeForever character. And guess what her name is! Mary Ellen! I think it's adorable, but I would most likely re-name her.
And that's why AG retired Marie-Grace and Cecile... MARY Ellen. They also needed to retire her for the new GOTY Grace for this years GOTY.
Also, I read Marie-Grace's first book and she has a bit of french from her mothers side, so they had to retire her for another french character, so there weren't too many french themed characters at the same time.
AG really needs to be more creative.
AG really needs to be more creative.
I think these new dolls will make up for Marie-Grace and Cecile. They weren't very popular dolls. Do you think so?
Here' s what people speculate she will look like.
I think she's cute! Yet another red headed doll. And I love her front bangs! Reminds me of Grace's. And I think she has cute outfits! I'm hoping that her meet outfit is the one to the far left. I think that would just be so cute. ^_^
Here's another photo that I saw on the internet when I searched for her.
When I saw this picture I was a really confused because it shows (It seems) the same doll, but with totally different hairstyles.
One has front bangs, with the same outfit, and the second couple of pictures have her with it looks like her bangs swept back. Maybe even a different part line. And she's wearing the same outfit as the one above her.
I also saw a picture like these ones but the only difference is that she had a pony tail. Same outfit and all again.
Not sure what's going on... Maybe AG was brainstorming on what she was going to look like so they had two versions. What do you think?
So I searched through the American Girl trademarks and this is what popped up when I went to Trademarkia.com. As you can see, Maryellen pops up along with a few others. And there's the "Truly Me" trademark! So it's official that AG will be changing the MAGS. Yea!
"Seaside Diner" was also trademarked as well. Hopefully there will be a diner for the new character! There were also a TON of other names that I have never seen before. for instance "Shelby". Let me know if you would like me to do a post about those names. I'd be happy to do it.
I personally think she's is so cute! Would you get her? Comment down below!
P.s. Do you like my new blog design? Also, don't forget to vote on the new poll for this week! It's located on the right sidebar. This weeks question is: Which retired historical dolls do you wish you had? Make sure to vote! And I want to apologize at the start, I am so sorry I miss-spelled Marie-Grace's name! I tried to fix it but Blogger won't let me for some reason. Sorry about that! xD
Aw, she's cute! She looks like someone between the 60s and 70s maybe? I'm not very good with time periods.
ReplyDeleteWell, you never know! It's not rock solid that she will be from the 50's. So you may be right!
DeleteThanks for all the info! Mary Ellen is very pretty, but I don't think I will get her.
ReplyDelete:) I'm not sure if I will get her either.
DeleteShe is kinda cute, but I don't think I will get her! I love her outfits, especially the blue and orange one! :)

OK, that doll is so cute. I wasn't really considering getting another doll anytime soon, but if she turns out really well, I just might...
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable and I want her so much! I'm just wondering, how do you know her name is Mary Ellen not Shelby or something else?
ReplyDelete~E
Well we saw that American Girl trademarked that name so that is why we think that that's her name. So we are pretty sure that her name will be Mary Ellen. Then the rumors started passing around that she's from the 50's because of the type of name.
DeleteFor the name Shelby, AG already has a character named that. She's one of the "guides" in the Inner Star U game for the MAG's. So that is why we don't think she will be named that.
Yeah, Mary Ellen is SO cute!!! I'm not going to get her, though, since my MAG doll is #33, and Mary Ellen looks a lot like her. I might get some of her outfits, though!!!

I think I will get her. She has my mom's name that's cool.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely getting her. My daughter who is 5 is named after my grandmother Mary Ellen. My daughter has redish hair, got it from my red-headed mom, and both my daughter and I have nose freckles and my daughter just recently wanted bangs. I really hope this doll has the bangs hair do. I am SOOO excited for Maryellen Larkins to join the American Girl family and mine.
