Kanani & Lea collection comparison

In my last post when I reacted to Lea and her collection, I mentioned that her collection reminded me a lot of Kanani's (GOTY  2011)

In this post I'm going to show ya'll what I mean if you weren't able to see it.
I'm not saying that it's necessarily bad that the items are alike, but I think that AG needs to get at least a little more creative these days.

Doll comparison:

I have to say that this comparison is a bit of a stretch while there is not much resemblance at all between them. I think it's the hazel eyes that make them look similar and that's as far as it goes.
But you get what I mean right?
I think that Lea is a mix between Mckenna, Rebecca, and Kanani.

The next comparison is between Kanani's ice stand, and Lea's fruit stand.
They may not look alike, but it's the similar idea that I noticed.

Next is Kanani's Paddle Board and Lea's Kayaking set.
It's like what I said before, it's not really the appearance that is similar, its just the idea of it.
I also kind of noticed that their stories are roughly similar. I haven't read neither Kanani's or Lea's stories so correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the whole story in itself seem kind of similar? They both either live, or visit the tropics.

last but not least Kanani's Aloha outfit, and Lea's Hiking outfit.
White tops, and Capri's. While the shoes aren't the same, there's still a lot of resemblance in these outfits. I know that the outfit purpose isn't the same either.

~

That's all that I have for right now. What are your thoughts?
I'm not in any way saying that it is bad that AG has re-used ideas, it's just that lately it seems the creativity quality of their items have decreased. I personally am okay with it because Kanani is my favorite GOTY and I missed out on her collection due to me not being introduced to American Girl dolls at that time, and with such resemblance to her items in Lea's collection I may snatch a few items. Maybe American Girl re-uses some of their past GOTY items because they sold so well back then, they thought that they'd do even better now! That's my guess.

Make sure to let me know what your thoughts are! Tell me if you think I'm stretching it a bit.

Reaction to GOTY 2016 Lea Clark!

Happy New Year everyone!
How was everyone's new years eve? I hope that ya'll stayed safe and had a blast. ^_^
My friends and I threw a party at my house and it was super fun!
Well, as some of you may know, the new GOTY just came out today!
All of her collection is online so I decided to take a look at what was new!
I've included in this post a few of her items that I will be reacting to.

You can find all of Lea's collection online at americangirl.com

So, first things first, Lea herself!
I think that she is absolutely STUNNING.
Her hair what it seems is a caramel color which really accents her eyes in my opinion.
Her eyes are a hazel it looks like, and it seems like her skin tone is either medium or light.
Lea retails for $120.
I will definitely be adding Lea to my collection!

Next, I will be giving my thoughts on some of Lea's outfits in her collection as well as a couple of her accessories.

This is just a overview of what all is in Lea's collection.

First thing is Lea's starter collection. It retails for $180 and includes Lea, her accessories, and a exclusive outfit that you can only get with this purchase. It may come with a little something more but not sure.
I think the purple dress is cute, but not my favorite. I won't be spending the extra money just for the dress.

Now for Lea's swim suit!
I LOVE this! I love the colors that they picked for them.
Lea looks super pretty in them as well. ^_^ I just wish that it was cheaper!

This outfit is called "Lea's Bahia Outfit" it retails for $28.
This outfits is okay in my opinion. It's pretty, but I most likely won't be adding it to my collection.

Am I the only one that thinks Lea's pajamas are hideous?
I haven't seen it in person yet, so I'm not going to quite confirm what my opinion is.
I guess I'll give it a chance... :P

So now we are getting into the accessory part of her collection.
This is her fruit stand. It retails for $150. I think this is super cute! The price, not so much... But honestly, all of this stuff is reminding me a LOT of Kanani... Anybody with me?

Lea's Ocean Kayak is next!
I personally love kayaking! This is a cute set, but I don't think that I will be adding it to my collection. It's not very practical to have, for me at least. It's just one of those sets where you have to use it for what it's meant to be used for. I'd rather spend my money to buy the table and chairs set from AG then buy this. Though the little life vest is super cute I have to admit.

Last, but not least for what we are going to be looking at today, is Lea's Rainforest House.
This is the main attraction for Lea's collection like Grace's bakery was for hers. It retails for $395!
Looking at it it's super cute, but I'm really curious about what it's made out of.
That little hammock is adorable though. <3

~

I hope that you really enjoyed this! Overall, I personally don't fancy her collection at all. There are a couple outfits that I did not react to though so I'll have to check them out, but it's really not my favorite! Lea herself is gorgeous and I will definitely have to add her to my collection, but the rest is eh for me.
What do you like about Lea's collection? I want to know what ya'll think about her!

Thanks for reading. Happy New Year!

Dressing my dolls - Daily Doll Routines

So.
These past three months I haven't even touched my dolls other then Madison, and Amelia.
Yeah...

It's pretty bad.

But today, I decided to bring them all out from where they were being stored (In their boxes)
and do their hair, put them into fresh new clothes, and take pictures of them. ^_^
So I thought that I'd just take a few photos of the process.

Enjoy!

First off, this is where I store my dolls. I store them in their boxes so that they aren't out in the open collecting dust when I don't "play" with them.
I store them in my closet up high so that they don't get in the way.

Here are the girls all on my bed ready to be taken out.
As you can see, Amelia is still in the same outfit from the last photo shoot. xD
I told you it was bad!

After I undress them from the clothes that they had on while in the box, I do their hair!
I usually just do the normal hairstyle that they are supposed to have unless the outfit that I put them in needs another hairstyle to complete the look.

Once all of them have their hair done I then dress them into their outfits!
I try to dress them to their personality, though it's hard sometimes because I don't have the right piece of clothing. I think that Saige's outfit isn't dressed to her as much, but it's definitely one of my favorite outfits from the whole group!
(You'll see her outfit soon)

And that's it!
This took me about thirty minuets to do.
It sometimes takes longer if I find some little scratches on their bodies that I have to take off but if I don't find any it takes about half an hour.
Sorry I don't have many photos of the process!
It was a spur of the moment kinda thing where I actually remembered to take pictures. :P

But I hope you enjoyed it!
I'll be posting more photos soon of the other dolls each week at least.
Now for a photo shoot that I did with Amelia in her outfit!

Hey everyone!

So today, I'm doing a few shout-outs!
If you would like for me to possibly give your blog, or YouTube channel a shout-out,
feel free to shoot me an E-mail! Just please take note that it's not guaranteed that you will get one, I'm mainly going to do blogs or channels that I have already been following for a while, so you still have a chance for one, but it's not definite.

I'll most likely be doing one once, or twice a week at the end of a post.

So now on to today's shout-outs!
